What is Macramé?

Macramé is a craft where cord is used to form decorative knots and beads are often used in a project. Micro Macramé uses thin cords and small beads to create jewelry, while thicker cord and larger beads are used to create a wide variety of projects.

 

Supplies For Macramé  Crafts

Macramé cord

Macramé cord, the cord material, length and thickness of the cord depends on the project

Beads

Beads, the size of the bead and the hole in the bead depend on the project

Macramé Project board

Macramé Project board, this board has a bulletin-like texture allowing t-pins to be placed on the board to hold the project

T-pins

T-pins are metal T-shaped pins that are pressed into the project and into the board to hold the project in place

Clear fabric glue

Scissors

Masking tape

Measuring tape

Metal rings
