Class description:

This is the first class in a series for beginners about learning to make jewelry. In this first-class students will make a 16-inch beaded necklace. In future classes students will learn how to make a bracelet and earrings.

Also, in this first class, students will learn how to use the tools and supplies needed to make jewelry.


Skills needed:

An interest in learning to make jewelry

Supply list:

Purl beads choose between 8mm, 6mm, or 4mm in color of your choice.

  • beating cord thickness of 1mm up to 2mm in material of your choice, (such as hemp, waxed cotton, leather, etc.)
  • spring ring clasp or barrel clasp
  • two bead tips size 2mm,
  • 2 shanks for all sizes
  • two jump rings, size 2mm or 4mm

large eye beating needles

  • needle nose pliers
  • round nose pliers
  • bent nose pliers
  • wire cutters
